HelloSign is an electronic signature service. HelloSign complies with global eSignature standards to offer an easy and legally binding means of signing documents.

Getting Started

  1. Go to HelloSign
  2. Set up an account
  3. Contact IWS for an API key and Client ID

BriteCore Setup

HelloSign Vendor

  1. Navigate to Settings > Vendors
  2. Check the HelloSign checkbox
  3. Click the pencil next to HelloSign
  4. Add your API key and Client ID
  5. Click Done

Enable E-Signature

To prepare a deliverable for electronic signing, complete the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Deliverables > Custom Deliverables
  2. Click the pencil next to the deliverables you wish to electronically sign
  3. Click the Requires E-Signature checkbox
  4. Click Save

BriteCore Processing

To sign a deliverable, the policy to which the deliverable applies must be Submitted but not Committed.

Sign Now

Sign Now is intended for use when both the insured and the agent are currently present and both are prepared to sign the deliverable. The agent must be signed into the agent portal to use Sign Now. Complete the following steps:

  1. In the agent portal, locate the policy that you will revise
  2. Navigate to Policies > Policy Setup > E-Signature
  3. Click Sign Now
  4. Click the hyperlink that corresponds to the person signing the document
  5. Navigate to the signature page at the end of the document
  6. Review the document
  7. Click the blue Get Started button in the upper right corner
  8. Click the signature box
  9. Sign by drawing, typing, uploading an image, or using a previously used signature
  10. Click Continue in the upper right corner
  11. Click I Agree
  12. Repeat steps 4 - 9 until all parties have signed the deliverable
  13. Refresh the page to update the deliverable’s status to complete. A note will be created, and the signed deliverable will be added under Attachments

Email Signature Request

  1. In the agent portal, locate the policy that you will revise
  2. Navigate to Policies > Policy Setup > E-Signature
  3. Click Email Signature Request In order to request signatures by email, all contacts must have a valid email address
  4. When asked for a Confirmation, click OK
  5. A pop up will state that the email was sent. Click OK
  6. Navigate to your email inbox
  7. Open the email from HelloSign
  8. Click the Get Started link in the email If more than one person is associated with the same email address, HelloSign will prompt you to identify yourself
    • Check the box next to the correct name
    • Click continue
  9. Review the document
  10. Click the blue Get Started button in the upper right corner
  11. Click the signature box
  12. Sign by drawing, typing, uploading an image, or using a previously used signature
  13. Click Continue in the upper right corner
  14. Click I Agree
  15. Repeat steps 6 - 14 until all parties have signed the deliverable
  16. In BriteCore, refresh the page to update the deliverable’s status to complete. A note will be created, and the signed deliverable will be added under Attachments

FAQ

Why do the buttons to request to sign a policy still appear after a message displays stating that the signature request was submitted successfully?
The buttons still appear because it allows agents to add deliverables requiring signatures and refresh the list of signature requests. The buttons serve as permanent buttons to retrieve all pending signature requests.
