Overview

AIR Worldwide, a Verisk Analytics company, provides software and catastrophe modeling to help companies manage risk from natural catastrophes, terrorism, cyber attacks, and pandemics. AIR Touchstone is a software offered by AIR Worldwide that accounts for both catastrophe and non-catastrophe loss.

This integration allows BriteCore to acquire information from AIR on potential losses based on the risks present in a rated revision and use this information in the rating calculation.

Tag Target Purpose
enabled Policy type that needs AIR Loss Analysis Enables AIR Loss analysis for policies of that type during rating
Building Any subline of tagged policy type referring to a location building Allows the system to consider that subline during AIR parameters gathering
Deduct All category elements of policy-wide category line-item referring to Deductibles Allows the system to extract the AIR parameter "Deduct"
stormSurge All category elements of policy-wide category line-item answering the question Include flood coverage ? Allows the system to extract the AIR parameter "stormSurge"
Update Line item under policy-wide with an evaluation rate object declaring a new variable named aalWind

Line item under policy-wide with an evaluation rate object declaring a new variable named aalWindSurge
Allows the system to update aalWind

Allows the system to update aalWindSurge
YearBuilt All category elements of property category line-item providing the age of the construction; Must be type Age Allows the system to extract the AIR parameter "YearBuilt"
RoofYearBuilt All category elements of property category line-item providing the age of the roof; Must be type Age Allows the system to extract the AIR parameter "RoofYearBuilt"
Height All category elements of property category line-item providing the height of the construction Allows the system to extract the AIR parameter "Height"
General Property rate-per line-item providing the area of the construction; chain step must be named Square Feet Allows the system to extract some AIR parameters such as "GrossArea"
StrConstructBldg:AIRCODE All category elements of property category line-item providing the type of construction; AIRCODE is the respective AIR code for the category element Allows the system to extract the AIR parameter "StrConstructBldg"
StrOccupancyClass:AIRCODE All category elements of property category line-item providing the type of occupancy; AIRCODE is the respective AIR code for the category element Allows the system to extract the AIR parameter "StrOccupancyClass"
RoofCover:AIRCODE All category elements of property category line-item providing the type of roof cover; AIRCODE is the respective AIR code for the category element Allows the system to extract the AIR parameter "RoofCover"
RoofGeometry:AIRCODE All category elements of property category line-item providing the roof shape; AIRCODE is the respective AIR code for the category element Allows the system to extract the AIR parameter "RoofGeometry"
CoverageA Property line-item respective to Coverage A with a limit Allows the system to extract the AIR parameters "RV_A" and "LimitA"
CoverageB Property line-item respective to Coverage B with a limit Allows the system to extract the AIR parameter "RV_B"
CoverageC Property line-item respective to Coverage C with a limit Allows the system to extract the AIR parameter "RV_C"
CoverageD Property line-item respective to Coverage D with a limit Allows the system to extract the AIR parameter "RV_D"

Important notes

  • At least one subline tagged as Building must be added to a revision for AIR compliance
  • Category items with the tag Deduct must either be in percent format (such as 1%) or decimal compliant ranging from 0 to 1 (such as 0.01)
  • Answers to Include flood coverage ? category must be yes/no
  • Category items that fall under category elements tagged as Height must be integers referring to the number of stories
  • Coverage A, B, C, D limits cannot be 0 for AIR compliance

BriteCore Processing

Once you add the proper system tags to the relevant parts of the target policy type, BriteCore will request a loss report during rating of any revision on that policy type. Loss reports are then cached for 60 days and used for that particular set of data. If the data changes or a request is made after 60 days, the system will request a new loss report from the vendor.
